Winners of the Leventritt Silver Ribbon Pairs Richard Chan and Michael Heymann.

Michael Heymann of Fort Worth TX and Richard Chan of the Toronto area are the winners of the Leventritt Silver Ribbon Pairs. Participants are required to have been born before 1959, and they must have a Silver Ribbon qualification.
This was the first NABC title for the winners. They were in first place after the afternoon qualifying session, and ninth going into Monday’s final. A 60% game in the first final set brought them up to third place, and a 63% game in the second final sealed the victory.
Heymann and Chan are a first-time partnership. When Heymann’s regular partner was unable to play in Philadelphia, he arranged a date with Chan for Heymann.

Second in the Silver Ribbon Pairs: Gail Greenberg and Jeff Hand.

The winners had a four-session total of 2638.75. In second with 2562.97 were Jeff Hand and Gail Greenberg of New York City. Top on a board was 77.
