Hill wins Mixed BAM
The squad captained by Joyce Hill topped the field in the final of the Freeman Mixed Board-a-Match Teams, winning the contest by 1.75 boards over John McAllister’s team.
They won the Freeman Mixed BAM Teams: Signe Buus Thomsen, Mikael Rimstedt, captain Joyce Hill, Kevin Dwyer, Amber Lin and Shan Huang.
Hill of St. Augustine FL played with Kevin Dwyer of Jacksonville FL, Signe Buus Thomsen of Denmark, Mikael Rimstedt of Sweden, Amber Lin of Millbrae CA and Shan Huang of Palm Beach Gardens FL. Their four-session total with carryover was 38.75 wins.
This was the first victory in the contest for all members of the Hill team, and the first open NABC victory for Lin, Huang and Thomsen.
Second in the Freeman Mixed BAM: Alexander Wernle, captain John McAllister, Jovanka Smederevac, Michael Xu and Olivia Shierson.
In second with 37.00 was John McAllister of Charlottesville VA, Jovanka Smederevac and Alexander Wernle of Austria, Michael Xu of Palo Alto CA and Olivia Schireson of Stanford CA.
