Wooldridge–Mignocchi win NAP-A
Joel Wooldridge and Kent Mignocchi, NAP Flight A winners
District 24 players Joel Wooldridge and Kent Mignocchi, both of New York City, posted four solid sessions in the Baldwin North American Pairs, Flight A, to win the event – a year-long, grassroots contest – by one board. Wooldridge and Mignocchi finished with a four-session total of 434.20 (13 = top).
In second with 422.32 was the District 6 duo of Alan Schwartz and Annie Schwartz of Fairfax VA.
The winners qualified third after Wednesday’s opening round, but moved in the lead in the first final session with a 60.85% score, their highest in all four sessions.

This was the first victory in the North American Pairs for Wooldridge and Mignocchi. They were second in this event in 2018, and Wooldridge, playing with a different partner, was also second in 2011.
