The ACBL Board of Directors approved the reinstatement of pre-2010 requirements for Life Master under specific circumstances.
Any member who originally joined the ACBL prior to Jan. 1, 2010, and whose membership has lapsed, may have the Life Master rank requirements existing for members who joined prior to Jan. 1, 2010 applied to them if:
a. Their membership is reinstated prior to July 1, 2018, or
b. If reinstated on or after July 1, 2018, upon payment of a one-time fee of $50 to the ACBL.
Anyone who is a new Life Master as a result of this change may continue to play in non-Life Master events and tournaments until July 2, 2018.
