Perlin Beats Bots Again!

Alex Perlin of Metuchen NJ won the Spring Robot Individual with a three-day average of 69.71%. While he never topped any single session, his consistently high scores of 71.97% in session one, 67.07% in session two and 70.09% in the final session were good enough to best the field. Perlin clearly has a way with the robots, because this is the second time he has laid claim to victory in this event. He also won the 2018 Summer NABC Robot Individual.
Less than one percentage point out of first, Jonathan Green from Melbourne FL scored 68.97% over the three sessions. William Bleish, the leader after day two, finished third with 68.53%.
Junhui Zhu swept both Flights B and C, picking up 32 masterpoints. Zhu, from Burnaby BC, also won Flight C in the NABC robot event last fall.
To make it easier for players to participate, the event – which has been held Monday through Wednesday preceding the NABC – was rescheduled so that it started the weekend before the NABC. More than 1900 players registered to compete in the stratified game.
Here are the final standings.
