In an exciting final, the squad captained by Nick Nickell defeated Hemant Lall’s team to win the 2018 U.S. Bridge Championship in Houston TX. With the victory, Nickell earned the right to represent the U.S. as one of two teams in the 2019 Bermuda Bowl in Sanya, China.
Nickell defeated Lall 240-229 on the last board of the match which was tied up to that point.
Playing with Nickell was partner Ralph Katz and teammates Jeff Meckstroth-Eric Rodwell and Robert Levin-Steve Weinstein (coach Eric Kokish). Lall’s partner was Reese Milner with teammates Justin Lall-Kevin Bathurst and Zia Mahmood-Jacek Pszczola.
