Winners of the Smith LM Women’s Pairs: Jovana Zoranovic and Selena Pepic
Serbia’s Jovana Zoranovic and Selena Pepic won the four-session Smith Life Master Women’s Pairs, their first North American title. Zoranovic and Pepic have been partners for eight years, starting out as members of Serbia’s Junior program. They have represented their native country internationally in Women’s, Mixed and Junior contests.
This is their second NABC appearance. In 2022, Zoranovic played at the Phoenix NABC in the fall, while Pepic played at the Summer NABC in Providence.
The winners qualified 10th in Thursday’s opening round. In the final, they posted 62.23% and 55.33% games to finish with a total of 806.00 matchpoints (25 = top).
Second in the Smith LM Women’s Pairs: Christine Denny and Fran White
In second place with 790.98 were Fran White of Vista CA and Christine Denny of Encinitas CA.
Frances Schneider of Riverside CT and Kate Hill of Santa Rosa CA were third with 777.44 matchpoints.
