Lall takes Senior Swiss title
Winners of the Truscott/USPC Senior Swiss Teams: Michael Penick, captain Hemant Lall, Iftikhar Baqai and Ross Grabel.
The squad captained by Hemant Lall narrowly won the Truscott/U.S. Playing Card Swiss Teams, just ahead of the team led by Leo Bell.
Lall, of Marina Del Rey CA, played with longtime friend Michael Penick of Dallas, Iftikhar Baqai of Irvine CA and Ross Grabel of Palm Desert CA. This is the first NABC victory for Penick, and the first win in the Senior Swiss for the entire squad.
Their final score was 113.19 victory points.
Second in the Truscott/USPC Senior Swiss Teams: John Jones, Rick Roeder, Crispin Barrere and captain Leo Bell.
In second with 112.87 VPs was Leo Bell of Carlsbad CA, J.J. Jones of Santa Fe Springs CA, Crispin Barrere of Berkeley CA and Rick Roeder of La Mesa CA.
